The feature staircase for the Louis Vuitton store in Miami was a steel substructure with curved glass guardrails, requiring engineering expertise from structural models to glass calculations. When it became apparent the staircase would need additional support from intermediate columns, we worked with the designer to specify locations where the supports could be nicely hidden and maintain the architectural concept of a free-floating object staircase.
