For this parking garage in Los Angeles, we engineered an optical structure to mark the exterior. Numerous glass fins are cantilevered off the wall by means of a metal shoe. The color effects are achieved by sandwiching colored film into the lamination build-up, so when the light passes through the different fins they produce a pantone deck fanning across the facade. Laufs ED provided glass engineering and connection design to accommodate for seismic forces.
