The Solar Rooftop Frame project was one of the first large-scale attempts to populate these canopies throughout Brooklyn. They are very simple structurally, with the goal that they could be mass produced and mounted on any rooftop. Once installed they could provide efficient self-sufficient power, and make the roof access to firefighters and tenants for the outdoor chill. We did the frame analysis, connection verification, optimization of custom profiles, and all approvals for New York City codes.
