An immersive installation by Berlin-based artist Tomas Saraceno at The Shed in Manhattan spans 39 meters in diameter and features two layers of suspended wire netting embedded with custom-made shakers that transmit haptic vibrations. Engaging the body rather than the ear, the work allows participants to experience rhythms inspired by spiders and other non-human organisms. LaufsED supported the project through coordination across design disciplines, contributing in an engineering design review role.
