Furman Street

10The design concept for these two residential sister towers references the forms of manufacturing buildings common to the neighborhood of DUMBO. These building scattered along the water feature large windows divided by muntins with thick rectilinear frames. The two buildings are clad in different materials: one in a rust-colored aluminum composite panel and the other in prefabricated high-strength concrete panels. The project’s design showcases ODA’s signature outdoor terrace spaces inserted into an overall pixelated volume. Laufs ED served as facade consultants through all phases of the project.
