Domino Site E

Site E of the Domino development is a masterpiece by SHoP architects. LED handled all the detail engineering for the rainscreen system, which is clad in copper and zinc perforated panels. Because of the structural weaknesses perforations cause to surface, we tested key panels to ensure structural integrity in the wind. Engineering the cladding at the bridge was a challenge because of the increased number of factors for calculating wind forces on bridge-like structures. Now finished, the copper panels will rapidly oxidize over time, resembling the color and finish of Miss Liberty in ten years or so.
