The concrete wall panels for 1 John Street in Brooklyn are made from GFRC and fixed by undercut anchors. This material provided for jumbo sized panels, the height of two floors, to be only 1” thick. The surface then received a special treatment on the exposed face of wax and salt grain inclusions to give it the organic appearance of smooth volcanic rock. In addition to the material and anchor testing, LED provided engineering for installation and rigging.
