Passionate about non-trivial design and high-end engineering, Alexey strives to blend architecture and structural engineering with the latest advancements in software to streamline the design process and achieve outstanding results on a daily basis.
Born in the major Russian industrial city of Chelyabinsk, Alexey made the most of a strong engineering school and developed a different effective mindset. Alexey holds a degree in civil and industrial engineering from South Ural State University. He has extensive professional experience with world renowned engineering companies, working on a plethora of complex international projects.
Currently he resides in New York, spending his time listening to music, following new technologies, and exploring the world.

Amandine was born in South of France and grew up in Burgundy. She moved to Paris where she completed a master’s degree in Architecture at the Ecole d’architecture de la ville et des territoires in 2013, and a master’s degree in Civil Engineering at Ecole des Ponts et Chaussées. Passionate about design and construction, she sees architecture and engineering as two extensively and intricately linked fields.
Prior to move to New York, Amandine worked for several architecture offices in Paris and taught at Ecole de Paris Malaquais as an assistant teacher.
She joined LED New York in 2015 where she works as a structural and facade engineer. She tries to bring a global perspective to her projects, integrating her dual skills to provide in-depth understanding of structures down to the details. She believes that the quality of a detail attests to the quality of a work of architecture.

Aykut Imer

Aykut Imer is an aspiring designer, holding a Bachelor of Engineering from Vanderbilt University, where he studied civil engineering and art history, and a Master of Architecture with honors from Washington University in St. Louis, where he received the Degree Project Award for his thesis.
He is intrigued by the potential for a project’s tectonic essence to carry conceptual weight in dialogue with its context, while his broader interests involve notions of form as a political condenser, and geography as a design scale. Along with his experiences in modeling and documentation across all project phases, Aykut approaches design as a collective process of mediation, with an eye towards preserving complexity through informed simplicity.
A native of Istanbul, Turkey, Aykut has amassed work experience in the fields of civil engineering, curatorial practices, and architecture in Istanbul, St. Louis, and New York, prior to joining LED, and is dedicated to benefitting from interdisciplinary engagements in pursuit of a hybrid career.

With a strong background in fabrication, Colin believes that good design stems from great details. He has extensive experience working in digital fabrication and complex fabrication design at some of the top design/build firms in New York. He holds a degree from the Pratt Institute School of Architecture, and currently resides in Brooklyn.

In Emilien’s eyes, architecture and engineering are a single field: unified and inseparable. With that in mind, he strives to understand how mechanics produce design. He is interested in the construction process of architecture/engineering, and wants to contribute to innovative and high-quality projects.
Originally from Paris, Emilien moved to New York to gain expertise in façade engineering while finishing his studies at the École National des Ponts et Chaussées. After working in a number of architectural offices in France, he decided to focus his studies on practical applications. Before beginning his graduate studies, he had completed Architecture School of Paris-Est EAVT but felt he lacked the technical skills that interested him so much in the field.So Emilien came to New York, to acquire first-hand knowledge of structural and facade engineering by working at Laufs ED for a year.
Passionate about architecture, movies and world cuisine, his goal for the year is to take advantage and consume American culture. An unconditional football fan, he spends his spare time playing on the NY Goats F.C.

Eva Ferox

After receiving her degree as an occupational therapist from the University of Applied Sciences in Tyrol, Austria, Eva left her hometown Innsbruck for Berlin. There she worked in a variety of medical units including pediatrics, neurology, and forensics.
Several years later, Eva graduated as an actress from “Starter - Berliner Schauspielschule für Film und Fernsehen”. She soon won a contract with a well-known modeling and talent agency in Germany, working as an international Model for Fashion, Commercial, and Lifestyle.
Today, Eva manages LED’s office in Berlin. She lives between Berlin and New York and is pursuing a postgraduate course in social media and journalism at the FJS-Berlin. She intends to pursue a career in a creative context afterwards. Eva likes the sequences between the lines in life.

Fernando Tenelema-Munoz

In Fernando’s view, structural engineering and architecture go hand in hand. With that in mind, he is passionate about the aesthetics and spatial functionality of designing infrastructure projects, as well as the structural elements involved. He is most interested in the design and physical integrity of buildings, and wants to take part in large building projects.
Originally from Ecuador, Fernando moved to Berlin this year to focus his career and to gain expertise in structural and façade engineering while finishing his studies simultaneously at the École National des Ponts et Chaussées and at the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya. For the first time he’s put into practice all his theoretical knowledge learned from both universities, experiencing first-hand how projects work in reality, and to become closer to structural and innovative applications of the 3d fiber-printing, Fernando will work in Laufs ED Berlin for six months.
Passionate about building design, comedy series and sports, his goal for the year is to dig deeper into German culture and to start learning “Deutsch”. As a lover of swimming, he spends his spare time in a vast and beautiful swimming pool in Osktreuz and strolling around the city.

Harrison Ratcliff

Harrison hails from a rural town in Utah along the Wasatch Mountains. He completed in undergraduate studies in Architecture at the University of Utah, before moving to New York City to do a Master of Architecture at Columbia University GSAPP. Prior to joining Laufs ED, he worked at So-Il on affordable housing and a museum in Shanghai; he worked with A(n) Office on an experimental housing project exhibited at the 2016 Venice Biennale; and he designed public furniture and exhibitions in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.
Harrison became a facade designer to gain a lexicon of practical experiences, to design buildings to the minute scale of jewelry, and to improve his design understanding of exteriors following a great love for Herzog and de Meuron facades.
Harrison spends his free time growing as a modest-scholar on Cy Twombly and James Lee Byars; he enjoys writing little short fictions in new styles and narratives; and he tries to help his friends with their LGBTQ non-profit, QSPACE. His goals for the next 12 months are to become a hobby gymnast, visit Angel Falls, and fly business class somewhere.

Joyce hails for Sichuan, China and graduated from Columbia University with a masters’ degree in Civil Engineering.
She is always interested in creative and unusual buildings, sculptures and skyscrapers, and strives to have a sense of aesthetics in her structural design.
She enjoys trying new food, wandering around museums and getting lost in new places. She is still getting lost and being amazed all the time in New York - and that is the main reason she intends to stay here and continue to explore.

His specialties include 3D modeling for structural calculation and visualization, digital interoperability, and parametric rationalization.
Working at LED New York in the field of specialty structural engineering and architecture, Justin strives to find elegant, effective solutions that improve buildability, performance and quality for clients, contractors, architects, and engineers alike.
Justin grew up in Santa Cruz, California and has spent the last several years residing in New York, which he enjoys although admits that he misses the ocean and the weather.

Konrad Remiszewski

Konrad was born in Przeworsk, Poland, where he spent his childhood before immigrated to the United States with his family. They moved frequently throughout his adolescence, before finally settling on Long Island. His true passion has always been creative processes and everything they entail. While studying at Pratt Institute, he was involved in multiple studios focusing on parametric designs and 3D printing developments.
Since working as a Junior Architect at STAT Architecture & Charles C. Perry Architects, he has worked on the construction and design development side of luxury townhouses, with projects in Downtown Brooklyn and the Hampton’s area, as well as multi-family housing throughout New York City. Specializing in CAD drawings, 3D modeling/3D printing, and architectural representations, Konrad has always had the desire to stay up-to-date with technological advances in the architecture industry and often draws from these as inspiration for his work.
In his leisure time, he enjoys biking and DJing at various spots across Brooklyn. He has started his own lifestyle brand Kasper Krew, under which he designs streetwear apparel, 3D prints, and contemporary furniture with an aesthetic uniformity grounded in futuristic urban design.

Manavendra “Manu” Mulye was born and raised in Mumbai, India. Much like New York City, Mumbai is a fast-paced city with a booming real-estate market. Manu dreams of contributing towards the rising tall (and super-tall) building construction with a strong emphasis on sustainable design and green construction.
Manu completed his bachelor’s in Civil Engineering from University of Mumbai and holds a master’s degree from Columbia University, New York City.
As a young engineer, Manu is constantly learning from new methodologies for structural design. His work mostly focuses on design of rainscreen and curtain-wall systems, facade engineering, and renovations.
Manu is an avid fan of soccer and supports Manchester United F.C. In his free time he loves to play harmonica and study coins.

Markus Wilmer is an experienced facade engineer and designer with a portfolio of work that spans the globe. His projects focus on utilizing structural glass and transparent enclosures, new materials and strategies for energy efficiency, and challenging architectural forms and problems that holistically contribute to the building’s aesthetic and character.
Markus is the Principal of the Facade division at LED. Prior to joining LED, Markus worked as a Senior Facade Designer for Buro Happold and Werner Sobek in New York. Before migrating to the United States, Markus worked as a project architect for Massimilano Fuksas in Frankfurt, and Graft Architects in Berlin. He holds a Diplom-Ingenieur in Architecture, Aachen University of Applied Sciences in Germany.
Since 2013, Markus has been a visiting assistant professor to undergraduate students at Pratt Institute.

Param received a bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering at the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT-G), and a master’s in Structural Engineering from Columbia University. To date, his knowledge of structures is informed, and his imagination sustained, by a handful of academic and professional endeavors.
At the heart of his general penchant for structural engineering lies a more specific liking for tall and challenging structures. Skilled in multiple softwares, Param aims to make structures safe, sustainable, and smart. He aspires to change New York City skyline.
He spends his free time exploring new places and likes to travel.

Robert is an accountant and office manager with experience in financial reporting of large and small businesses. He comes from a background of public accounting in the real estate field, his choice to focus on this field grew out of previous experience as an urban planner in suburban Washington DC area. He has an MBA and a MS in Accounting from St. John’s University, NY and a BS in Urban Geography and Computer Science from University of Maryland.
A common thread throughout his career is the built environment and accounting. Now at LaufsED the focus is on business operations, financial reporting, modelling and projections. There he can utilize his knowledge of accounting and operations management as a tool to improve profitability.
In his free time, Robert is passionate about photography, music and the outdoors. With extensive time spent in the West and Intermountain West exploring deep in the backcountry, taking pictures, and listening to music while hiking in between.

Sang has worked as a facade designer internationally for over seven years, including the United States, Germany, and South Korea. Sang’s experience extends from small residential projects focusing on full-scale detailing, to multi-tower complexes with difficult geometries. As a facade specialist she’s designed: unitized facades, metal framed stick-system facades, and panel cladding facades. Furthermore, she’s worked on specialty facades from a cable-net facade for the Museum of the Built Environment in Saudia Arabia: to a double curved facade featured on the Baku Residential Complex in Azerbaijan: to a unitized facade for the Hyatt Frankfurt competition in Germany: not to mention many others.
She holds a Master of Architecture from Rhode Island School of Design, and a Bachelor of Architectural Engineering from Kyungbook National University in South Korea.
Sang resides in New York City, pursuing in her spare time her passion for Asian cuisine, learning the German language, and traveling abroad.
